In February 2012, longtime Jr. Argo parent and former coach Warren Hudson passed away after a 9 year battle with brain cancer at the age of 49. A former CFL Fullback and Top Canadian winner in the 1990 Grey Cup, Warren coached the Toronto Jr. Argonauts Atom team (now called Peewee) to the 2006 O.M.F.L. championship and cheered on his sons Will and Cory as they played for the double blue. In his short time with our organization he left a lasting impression on his players, fellow coaches and all who knew him.
Since 2012, The Warren Hudson Memorial Award has been given to one player on each Jr. Argo football team. These players are young men who exemplify the virtues of commitment, dedication, determination and heart that Coach Hudson impressed upon those who played for him.
